How's it goin' guys.
I have a quick question concerning my Carburetor. The carburetor that my K161S 7hp came with is a Carter Model N with the numbers tagged on the right ear I-H 3334S. And I have searched for parts for this carb using this Brand name and number and I can't find any parts for this carb using this number. I've checked the carburetor parts list at Carter & Gruenewald and they only carry parts for two carbs that came with the K161S 7hp engine and neither one of them match the numbers that I have on my carburetor. Do I have the wrong carburetor on my engine??? Or am I searching with the wrong numbers???

I wouldn't be too concerned that the number on your carb is different than the two numbers, 3738S and 3409S, listed on the Cub Cadet parts lookup on the C&G site. If you notice, they both have the same KH-41-853-11 Kohler part number. The 7 hp engines on the IH Cub Cadets used several different numbers - I have carbs that are 3737S, 3334S, 2591SD and etc. For the most part, they will all work/interchange and the parts that are available will fit. If you look at a Kohler Master Parts listing, the parts are not listed by the numbers on the carbs, but are listed by a variation number geared to the spec number of the engine. If the parts you need are shown as being available on the C&G parts lookup for the K-161 engine you have, go for it. They all used a Carter model N's or a Kohler built copy (Kohler owns the rights to the Carter carbs) with a Walbro thrown in every now and then on the K-181's and larger engines. But be advised, not all parts are available any more.
