Wanted - Woods 59 Mower Deck

Postby Hengy » Tue Apr 02, 2024 9:20 am

Hi all!

I'm in Western Pennsylvania, and I'm looking for a Woods 59 mower deck for my cub. If you have a shell of a deck that is in decent shape, I'd be interested in that instead.

I have a Woods 59 that I bought happily from a forum member about 10 years ago, and it has served me really well on MerlinCub mowing about 5 acres a week. Unfortunately, the metal has become thin in many parts of the deck, and it just is not feasible to weld it at this point. The spindles, guards, sheeves and all of the mechanical parts are in great shape, but unfortunately the metal is just too thin and brittle to salvage.

I'd be interested in a whole deck with all parts intact or just the shell of the deck that I can put my own parts into to make one good deck out of two.

Willing to travel to pick-up and can arrange cub express along the way.

Thanks!

I have one that has served me well. (I am the "ad directly above"). I am looking for parts of (or a complete) Woods 59 that is set up to work with my Fast Hitch. If I find a complete one, we can discuss logistics of you acquiring my complete standard Woods 59 if you're still looking.

“Cubfest Season” is coming up, so Cub Express may be a workable option for those logistics.

I have a 59 I am considering selling. It came with a Cub purchase, and I was keeping it "just in case"! I have 4 cubs: 1 with Woods 42, 1 with Woods 59, 1 with Mott Flail, and one with fasthitch (for road maintenance) plus a Woods 42. I also have a spare 42, so the 59 is probably going on the block!

I'm hoping to go to the Bash at the end of May. If you're interested, maybe an express can be arranged. Or better yet, come and play at the Bash, then take it home!
