A "quick?" trip to Tractor Supply here in Michigan!

Postby Dale Finch » Thu Jul 12, 2018 10:34 pm

Driving around this area of Michigan (Newaygo), you get a chance to do some self-evaluation...what we want from life, where we are going, etc. This image reminded me of a road trip after college graduation (1972) in my VW Micro-bus (imported from Europe). I was always being passed on the highways as I puttered around the Eastern US. I felt like an underpowered snail...until, that is, I was in the Amish area of Pennsylvania on a local narrow road and was "stuck" behind a horse-drawn carriage. I had lots of time to ponder how things in life are relative, and settled down to the relaxing pace!

This was at the TSC in Freemont, MI. I loved the little trailer he was pulling!

I like how TSC provides a hitching post.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

I think I'd paint that carriage any color but black. Talk about an oven!
I wonder if the trailer would be counted as a tandem trailer?

Just spent a week in Detroit area. Sorry to admit I did not make it to a TSC. No buggies seen either. But was a fun trip.

I've never seen an Amish buggy that wasn't black. Vern

I thought all business' had hitching rails. At least here in the real world they do. TSC, True Value, WalMart, McDonalds, the list goes on and on. Even the banks and grocery stores have had them for as long as I can remember! I think I remember seeing some brown buggys in PA and NE corner of Ohio. You guys need to get out more. John
