Super A and Cane Power Mill

Postby GAGoober » Sat Sep 03, 2016 7:25 am

I am planning on using my Super A this fall to squeeze some sorgham. I have never used thr SA for flat belt work. Has anyone here used their flat belt for that ? Just looking for a few pointers.

Thanks

Just have to get it lined up right so the belt will stay on the pulleys. That's pretty much all there is to it.

I was going to use string from hub to hub to get it set. Got any suggestions on length of the belt ? I have some round baler belting that I was going to re-purpose but didn't want to get it too long.

Thanks

From what little I know long is not bad. As I understand it longer belts can run looser than short belts, the weight of the belt provides grip. I have a fairly short belt for my 4e hammermill and it has to run pretty tight in order to work.
