Wildfire smoke

Postby Bob McCarty » Mon Sep 04, 2017 7:59 pm

The smoke from the California, Montana, and other western wildfires is being blown across Colorado by the jet stream. Supposed to be windy tonight and hopefully it will clear up. Visibility is about 2-3 miles in any direction right now.

The jet stream carried it all the way to KC. Sun started looking hazy around 5PM today (still well up in the sky) and the moon was tinted orange overnight.

The local news mentioned it here in west central Ohio. I smelled it last night after the rain.

I think I smelled the smoke this morning here in WV. Is that possible?
