Postby J-man » Fri May 04, 2018 4:18 pm

Need some help, story of my life!!

I need to install a new distributor on my 154 (already removed the old one) and need to know how to do this so the timing is not totally screwed up.

Thanks

Same as any other C60 engine, #1 piston on compression stroke TDC, crank pulley and pointer should align. Install the distributor and determine which position of the rotor aligns with the #1 spark plug tower/wire and install the wires clockwise from #1 then 3, 4, then 2. Should be close enough to start and fine tune with a timing light.
