This is a 1980s long water pump pulley from a chevy small block snadwhiched between the 154 pulley and the fan.
The 4 bolt pattern is the same.

Thanks for posting photos. That should work for adding an alt for those who need the extra capacity due to additional draw from added electricals.

It is really cool and I thank dengel154 for finding the right pulley to do this. There is some fab to the starter/generator linkage but it Does work.

Re: pics of adding a second pulley for hydraulic pump
Hello again, dengel154 . I have a few questions about your bucket loader project. Does the new pump share the same reservoir as the original ?
I was thinking about a stronger front end too.

Re: pics of adding a second pulley for hydraulic pump
The pump I added was from a truck/snow plow arrangement which has a small reservoir built in. The mower deck uses the original pump/hydraulics and the front loader and 3pt hitch use the newly added pump/hydraulics.

Re: pics of adding a second pulley for hydraulic pump
Hi. Initially I thought that going too far on this platform wasn't going to work. I must know that tremendous little Terramites had only a 2 cylinder air cooled Kohler engine. It was all about hydraulics . There was only 20hp there but very heavy stuff like Eaton final drives. Loader and backhoes worked somehow by using the engine to generate power to the hydraulics.

That is why I noted the frame reinforcement. You just can't do that but you are. Good stuff man !

Re: pics of adding a second pulley for hydraulic pump
When I started fabricating my subframe for the FEL I stripped the 154 frame nose down and found it very wear and twistable. I noticed some welds were only on one side of the vertical gussets. (Spelling corrected by our teacher here Kit) I did notice the frame flexing in off camber situations causing the fan to hit the shroud when the front axle hits the stops.
I double walled the orginal frame when I did the subframe. Now it can handle power steering besides the FEL.

I'm technically misunderstood at times i guess its been this way my whole life so why should it change now.

Do you have pictures of the subframe? I've got the factory FEL but it still twists a ton when you lift up heavy stuff.

I used channel added to the orginal frame. I did add all the missing welds to the orginal frame. I stripped the front frame to work on it and noticed how bad it twists. It needs to be a tad stiffer. Now one mush be aware of the bumpers when the front axle tilts so we don’t bottom them out too hard. I got really serious with the steel on the front subframe.

Don’t forget to level the frame front to back and side to side before welding or adding plate to it. It must be level. Then it will be perfectly level and square when your done.
