If you came here looking for support to NOT buy another tractor your barking up the wrong tree. Go get it.

its supposed to be a 185? I am not well versed on the number cubs. I thought they were yellow and white though. was there a 3 point for a 185? The owner listed the mower separate, judging from the condition of the mower the tractor wasnt used a lot. I got him to give me a price on the tractor and the mower. If it was running I doubt much can be wrong with it. hard to tell, looks like somebody loved it enough to clean it up. be a long day to go after it but at $600 I am having a hard time saying no to it. This would be a 60in mower?

That is the PTO Engagement lever. This is either a 154 or a 185. Can't tell without a serial number.
That dude even painted over the chrome hydraulic lift lever! Great looking mower deck and tractor! A little bit of decal work and put it to work!

If that tractor was near me, I'd buy it. $600 is a great price.
A 3-pt hitch was an option for the 154 and 185. Not many have them.
The mower looks like an IH 3160 which is 60" wide with 3 blades and 3 belts.
The starter/generator can be rebuilt by most any good auto starter/generator shop. There are new ones available online but I have had poor results with the new ones.
Good find!

Indy, the only known cure for your disease is to quit cold turkey and give away all the cubs you have. Since I am within driving distance I am willing to help by bringing some of them to my place, as I am sure Eugene, T-Mo, Midmo, and Stanton would volunteer to do also
If you are not part of the solution,
you are part of the problem!!!

Could have been worse. You could have found out he sold it out from under you when you got there with the trailer.
