Welded the transaxle shifter.
Replaced one shift fork. Next time I'll try removing transaxle clutch to slide shift rod forward. I slid it rearward and had a heck of a time doing that plus damaged the rod somewhat.
Someone had a muffler pointing up like the Farmall Cubs and the muffler was gone with the wind or should I say rust. Of course one of the elbows were pointing in the wrong direction and unusable because of rusted pipe. I used the elbow removal method, found on this forum, and to my amazement it worked. A new muffler was out of my budget at this time so I used what I had.

You can get the complete muffler assembly from Hamilton bobs cubs
It’s a great tractor to mow with, very comfortable. But sometimes a pain to work on.

Re: My 185 Progress
I purchased so many int154 parts from hamiltonbobscubs I probably have a complete 154 on shelves minus the frame. It’s nice to need a part and have it instock.
I was thinking when I add the geared starter in my loader a fcub oil bath aircleaner with a precleaner will be added so the alternator and hydraulic pump can be added. Outside exhaust and aircleaner.

Re: My 185 Progress
I will replace it in time but right now I use what I got. The other problem was That I would have had to remove the fuel tank or the manifold in order to remove the other elbow. In due time.

Re: My 185 Progress
Just change out the whole manifold with the muffler.
These parts are getting harder to get.

Re: My 185 Progress
I am planning a new manifold, carburetor and muffler. But I need to get this one running to take the place of a 154 that needs more work. Juggling show.

I see and that exhaust should be okay for lower rpms.
