The cab would be nice. A shame not to use a tractor,

Now that is some serious high flotation! Put a big inter-tube under the front end and that thing will float across a pond.

How many really use there tractors? The fcub owners the tractor seems to be more of a toy.
We must remember new paint isn’t a restoration. Funny after new paint they seem to break down.

They are going to the normal state where bolts aren't painted over.

What grade are the IH bolts on the fcub and 154/184/185.?
When I changed my one ton c30 over to a 4 x4 I used all grade 12 fasteners, to hold the spring perches and motor mount plate in. It cost a small fortune.

I have a C30 1 ton, short box, 350 ci engine and yes, there would have to be improvements going to 4 x4 . These trucks have great ground clearance. It is amazing to have a 4 x4 .

Re: Duals on a 1554/185/184
There was a time which comes closer. It was to get out of the over taxed property and move tons of things to another house. It was winter at one of these moves and snow became heavier the further, the further we went. The driveway was a fair steep grade and the truck couldn't overcome all that snow. ( I recalled when I built a Vee shaped plow to another vehicle but didn't expect this). It was really snowing hard in the Valley. I backed the truck many times and went forward to ram thru it but lost traction. Those big ole tires couldn't do it. ( I think they were called "highway master" ) but it was just getting worse by the minute. I didn't have chains .. a neighbor heard the sounds and came over with a Toyota 4X4 . We had straps, so it got there.
If I'da had limited slip, may have not met that neighbor. If i'da had 4wd, I would have met the gas stations more than the neighbors.
