New to me 154, what mower deck to I have?
Just picked up a 154 Lo Boy, has some issues but engine seems to run nicely.
I noticed the mower deck only has one center spindle, what mower deck is this?

Looks to be an IH/Danco C2, would help if you had more pics of the mower, kinda hidden tucked up under the tractor

Here's some more pics from the auction listing if that helps, it does not have any roller wheels.

As tst said, it's a C-2. It's considered more of a brush hog than a finish mower, but if adjusted and sharp will cut smoothly.

Thanks. Mower seems to have worn spindle with lots of movement, where is a good source of replacement parts? Anyone perform this before on the deck?

you can just replace the bearings as long as other parts are not damaged

42 incher, single blade ---I have junked a bunch of them ---I think there is also one hanging under one of my AC-B tractors.
Look close at the spindle, see for sure whats loose, might be just the top drive pulley, If it has the overrunning ratchets in it they could be wore out. All of mine have the overrunning pulley on them and they do wear out, get sloppy, and sometimes rust shut!
Wiggle top pulley and go down from there. If its just bearings, they should be common sizes. ---IF shaft is worn and needs a new one,---that might be a problem unless a used one can be found.
These will mow grass as good as the 59 three blade jobbers do, just have to keep blade tips real sharp.

Upper left of the page, click on Quick Links, then PDF Manuals, then Farmall Cub, then Cub attachments, then Mowers, and you'll find manuals there.

Re: New to me 154, what mower deck to I have?
thanks for the info- When I bought the tractor, seeing how the mower works I could see noticeable wobble in the top pulley as the mower ran. I haven't had time to pull the mower deck to check it out, maybe this coming weekend.
