154 , 3260 mower belt help please
I recently bought my 154 and it came with the 3260 mower deck. The belt that comes from PTO down to the 2 pullies than forward to the mower deck is getting eaten up. Is this a common issue? Is there a fix? Watching it run I can't see where it's rubbing. The tensioner pulley does seem to lean is this normal? Thanks for any help

Re: 154 , 3260 mower belt help please
Owning a 154 with 3260 mower, the belts usually last 2 years or so, but don't get eaten up. Start checking to see what is eating up the belt. Belt alignment, rubbing, sharp pulley edges.
Idler pulleys should not lean. Probably bad bearings.

I have an excuse. CRS.

The "long" belt is supposed to be near level to the deck during work. It is a long range of adjustment. If things aren't parallel, something becomes worn and sharp.

Check your mule drive pulleys. When they go bad then get stiff or loose.
I'm technically misunderstood at times i guess its been this way my whole life so why should it change now.

My belt would rub the top of the deck when lifted max. I made a brace with an idler pulley.
