After Market Rear Rim

Postby jcut120870 » Tue Sep 08, 2020 12:36 pm

I just bought 2 new rear rims for my Lo boy, all of the hardware is completely corroded and the new rims did not come with inserts. Has anyone ever replaced these and where did you get the hardware?

Thank you

Joe

Does the business you bought the new rims from also sell the hardware?

Would suggest one of our sponsors like TM Tractor:

If they are the round loop style, they use Carriage bolts. Don’t know how long

What size rims? For 8.3 x 24”, single wheel weight carriage bolt 1/2-13 x 3”, double wheel weights 1/2-13 x 6 1/2”,

Or 13.6 x 16.1? Turf tires?
I'm technically misunderstood at times i guess its been this way my whole life so why should it change now.

Welcome.

There are two types of Farmall Cub Low Boys. The standard Cub Low-Boy and the numbered Cub Low-Boys. They have different styled rear and front rims.

Post photos of the tractor and the rims.
I have an excuse. CRS.

Thank you everyone for your help, Very Cool. The clamp shapes are the rectangular and it is a Lo Boy 154.

Thank you again everyone.

Back to my previous post. Photos will help.

The rims with the rectangular clamps were original to the standard Cub and the standard Cub Low-Boy. The numbered Cubs, 154 rims were one piece and mounted directly to the axle.

The rim and wheel disc could have been changed at some time in the past.

Since you now have two posts, Quick Links, top left of page for free down loadable manuals.
I have an excuse. CRS.
