Plow/blade setups for 154

Postby Sflash » Mon Oct 19, 2020 9:06 pm

Are there other plow setups that will fit the 154 other than the International 54? Ive been searching for plow blades and Ive seen International plows off of Cub Cadet tractors and Farmall Cubs, would these fit the 154 without the need for any alterations or do I just have to drive out and take measurements to figure it out?

The Model 54 was designed to fit the 154.

The blade itself is the same as used on the cub, but the mounting bracketry is completely different. A 154 has a frame where the cub has none.

There’s brackets on the 154 snowplow and lifting arms that’s different than a fcub. The plow is 54” wide. I’m sure there’s a print or drawing on it here somewhere. Someone listed a 154 plow setup on the vine a while back.

That 54 plow in the pic isn’t wide enough to cover the width of the tractor? With the larger turf tires. Or is it me?
I'm technically misunderstood at times i guess its been this way my whole life so why should it change now.

I guess Ill just have to keep my eyes peeled for the Model 54. I have a manual for it, I believe there is one in the pdf manuals on here as well. I just need to find one local enough and in my price range.

The 54" is just wide enough to cover the front tire width when straight.
The funny thing is when you are doing blade work, then chains are required. With chains, come the need for spacers. The 2.5" spacers push the rear tires wider than the blade.

As soon as you angle the blade, the coverage does not cover the front tire width. I'd love to extend my blade by 8-12" on one side.
