Starter for my 154

Postby rbeckman186 » Sat Dec 11, 2021 11:16 am

I bought a basket case 154, while looking at the starter hole I thought that a Scout starter would fit. I was going to post pictures, but I can't attach them. I did get it to work a lot of work and a new bendix, cutting, machining and welding. I also added a Scout alternator, when I cranked the engin to prime the oil it charged 30 amps.

Welcome to the Forum, after a couple of posts you should have full access to the posting, manuals, etc. Here's one post about several considerations to swap out the s/g for a conventional starter/alternator. Good Luck and keep posting so others can learn.

Resize the pictures so they are less than 500Kb in file size. Then you can attach them to a post.
