I have a 154 with a IH 60" belly mower the PTO stops turning when in high grass. Sometimes PTO lever will fall back down, usually lever stays engaged and PTO just stops turning. Do you think this is a PTO clutch or adjustment problem or maybe a belt problem? Aso is there a rear 3 pt. mount rough cut mower available for this machine. I am also looking for narrow front wheels and tires. Thanks.

Sent this over here where it will get better responses. You may want to check the 154 section of the Cub Manual Server under Numbered Cubs.

Been there done that! Check your main PTO belt first. Then check the gap on the clutch plates. you will need to have access to a manual for the measurments. My guess is that it is time to put new clutch plates in the pto pack. It aint that bad but you will need a good micrometer caliper and a book.
