Here you go. Its a six volt starter. disconnected the old cable from the solenoid to the SG. Ran a new one from the solenoid to the six volt starter. had to disassemble the starter and put a new threaded post in it for the cable connection. had to remove the water inlet pipe from the block to get the starter past the frame rail. used longer bolts for mounting the starter also, I also drilled a new hole for the positive cable thru the bulkhead behind the engine. may not need to if you keep the original ground location. I moved mine closer to the starter.

Thanks for the pictures and info. That is what I thought it would look like. Did you reinforce the frame in any way after cutting the cross member to allow the starter to bolt in place? What about any changes to the frame to allow the starter to bolt up to the engine? THANKS.

no I saw no need to reinforce the frame. the piece that was cut is 3/8 inch thick and the frame is less in thickness. It has sufficient weld from the factory so I didn't feel additional bracing was required. The starter bolts right up to the block threw the existing holes provided from the factory. same as regular cub block. starter works well. glad I did it. there were no other changes required with the drive line for this change. Just what was described earlier in this post. Next task will be adding the alternator.
