He looked like he got off better than most --- until he got dragged under the truck. Being a bit cynical, I'm reminded of the saying, "You can't fix stupid."

Yikes. Looks like the log hit him and shoved him under the truck. Wonder what happened next. If the log snagged the chain and the tractor kept running, it would have dragged the inverted tractor right into the back of the truck, smashing the operator in between.

Looks like he was trying to improve the gene pool and didn't even accomplish that.

Anybody look at the elapsed time on that sequence? From the point the front of the tractor started to go up until it was bottom side up was 5 seconds. Pretty clear why you don't have time to react after something starts to go wrong.

As a young man years agu we used to go $ wheeling and the biggest No-No was to never use a chain if it snaps it could hurt ya really bad as well. good reminder of what not to do.

Dad tried that once many years ago with the H, which is quite a bit longer than that Ford was. He said it came out ok, but as the rear wheels came up out of the hole the front end lifted up by about the same amount. He told me "NEVER AGAIN !!!" I have often wondered why no one ever does that in reverse, and go back out the way they came in. You do have to give the driver a little credit for having enough sense to dive into the space between the fender and chasis as it was coming over, but that log smacking him was poetic justice.

Not sure if that was sense or if he just happened to land there because he was turning to see what was going on behind him when he should have been looking at the front wheels.

I always heard that the good Lord watched over fools and little children. I do not think that driver qualified as a little child.
