Impact wrench seems wimpy

I found an old impact wrench in the barn that I am cleaning out, its an Allied Pneumatic HY-160-03645. Its nice and heavy and seems to operate, but it seems a little wimpy. I have tried to look it up online but have had no luck. Does anyone know how to look this up to see what the torque rating is? Professor Google has been no help.
I have found lots of other useful items in this barn, added quite a few tools to my arsenal. This is actually the barn on our place, where Wife grew up. The barn has been packed full of "stuff" that her brother has accumulated over the years, I have finally, after living here for 10 years, gotten permission to clean it out so I can have a place to work on the tractors over the winter. Ya gotta love family.

Have you put any pneumatic air tool oil in it? Little dab where the air line connects, that may help wake it up.

If there is a knob beside the air inlet try turning that, it is a flow regulator. It may have been thrown in the back of the barn because it was worn out.

That could well be the case John, maybe its just worn out. I have tried turning the adjuster knob, that does adjust it from total wimp to not quite so wimpy, but still wimpy. One of my mechanic buddies was able to find the specs, its rated at 230 ft lbs at wide open. Maybe I just need to buy a new one.

If it's an older one should come apart easy. Maybe you can see what the problem is for certain before throwing it back into the barn for another ten years.

yeah, previous owner may not have oiled it enough, if at all.

My first pneumatic impact was a used Chicago -CP . It was good in its day but the air delivery makes a huge difference. The compressor didn't have a working air dryer. There were some bearings in there which cost a lot to replace. I keep it but don't expect to use it. Needle bearings are prone to rust. Then they are a drag to the whole thing.

So now that I have gotten a good start at cleaning out the barn, the brother in law shows up claiming all the tools and other good stuff in the barn as his, never mind that it has all been abandoned under mountains of trash and garbage for 20+ years, and he's going to come get it all "one of these days". Grrrrr...

On the surface that stinks! I'm a little confused though as to what your actual arrangement is. You say you've lived there ten years but had to "get permission to clean the barn out". So do you own the place, rent it, lease it, something else?????? Each one of those would/could have a different arrangement as to who actually owns the barn and the stuff in it, not necessarily the same person. Then what type of arrangement, if any, was originally made on storing the stuff.

Is the brother in the first post the same person as the brother-in-law in the last post? Or is brother-in-law a third player like your wife's sister's husband? Just confused by the different relationship descriptions I guess.
