Tornado Hit Jefferson City, Missouri
I hope our members near and/or in Jeff City are okay. I know Mid-Mo is just west of there, and Eugene is just east of there. Also, we had a member from Jefferson City show up at our CubFest last Saturday at Mid-mo's house, so I hope him and his family are okay. From the reports there was a lot of damage from this tornado. Also, 3 people died in a tornado earlier yesterday in Golden City, Missouri.

Re: Tornado Hit Jefferson City, Missouri
Yes, bad storms. The damage in Carl Junction was a lot of trees blown over. Jefferson City had several structures damaged.
The SW MO tornados last night were on the 8th anniversary of the big EF5 that slammed Joplin.
EDIT: Just saw some more video coverage of Carl Junction and there's more storm damage to houses/structures than I first thought. Horrible. Praying strength and comfort for those hit by the tornado(s).

Yes, I was just telling my wife yesterday that it was the 8th anniversary of the Joplin storms. It was on a Sunday as I remember we were just going to church for the evening service.

Live about 150 feet from the Osage county Missouri courthouse and the sheriff's office. Within one hour of the tornado, the first responders from Osage county had assembled and departed from the courthouse parking.
Osage county is the adjacent county east of Jefferson City.
Woke up around 7 AM. The Osage county's water rescue equipment had been assembled in the courthouse parking.

I have an excuse. CRS.
