If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem.

Yeah, it looks impressive... but if you take the width of the kid standing behind it and say he is like my son 1.5' wide at the shoulders and then measure the hog it ends up being more than 9' long. This is a doctored photo IMHO.
Now, how big was this hog before they "stretched" him

There sure is a lot of speculation in this story. The father didn't know how to read the scale when they weight the beast. No witnesses were interviewed. And they have a website to help toot their horn. But I have no doubt as to the complete honesty of the story because it hails from the Associated Press.

Do I detect a slight bit of sarcasm in your comment Carl? Or are you just validating our fine upstanding news media?

9ft. boar hog
If that is not a doctored pic., and it is a boar, I can almost guarantee you will not be able to eat any of the meat from it. It will be rank!! Would have to cook it outside to keep from stinking up the house.

When I first looked at the pic I thought it looked seemingly too large for the reported size. I looked again and I agree with Redman, the boy is a fair distance behind the pig when the pic was taken giving the allusion of its size. The whole thing seems fishy to me now. Somebody is trying obviously to profit from this somehow.

Pravda has a series of photographs showing the boar and the boy.
In one of the photos the boy is standing a ways behind the boar with his arms crossed. This photo is almost identical to the photo in which it appears the boy has his arms on the back of the boar.
That's one pretty big boar. The Iowa State fair holds a large hog contest every year. I think 1200 to 1300 lbs are prety common - in the contest.

The above article says that the hog was a farm raised pig named Fred, not a feral hog.
