Gas here in So. Ca. is $3.19 for reg. up to $3.45 for premium. Diesel $3.49 at my local 76 station. Just got back from a trip to Sister's Or. about 1680 miles round trip and the fuel bill was $430. What puzzles me is that the little stations out in the middle of no where charge less. Something is wrong somewhere!
Always try the easiest thing first.

Always used to be the little stations near East Jezus were the more expensive places. The change had me puzzled for quite a while too. I think the catch now is that most urban areas have to use oxygenated gasoline while the rural areas still sell more conventional gas. The oxygenated fuel is more expensive to produce. It also has less energy, resulting in less mileage.

HR! Funny thing is Avgas was just 3.79 as of Saturday. Thats cheaper that premium pump gas! So much fotr the auto fuel STC's fo now. But I'm sure it'll catch up. When we were flying saturday, not a lotta boats on the bay. Usually this past weekend is loaded with boats in the bay...You can almost walk from one side of the bay withour getting wet! But not this past weekend. Marine gas over 4.00/gal!
