I bought an angle attachment for a dremel tool to see what was inside it, already pressed the bearings and gears off of the shafts so I can make what I need :D

Nice Heavy duty idea using the angle attachment! I haven't seen much plastic in your previous builds. Are you milling a new case?

I am not using the plastic at all, all I wanted was the 2 gears out of it. The gearbox will be aluminum, 2 piece.

Finally got the gearbox made. Hope it never needs to come apart, I ground most of the heads off of the screws to hide them.

Can’t wait to see how you do the latches on the PTO shaft between the mower gearbox and the tractor. :D

It’s gonna be a job making the joints, don’t have a tractor to hook it too………yet.

What kind of lube goes in the gear box? 8W9? Yes you could buy a pto shaft but I’ll bet you don’t. It just wouldn’t be the same if it’s not home made.

It’s like paying someone else to restore your tractor, half the fun is doing it yourself.

First half of the PTO shaft is done. 1/16" roll pins holding it together.
