Less CubFest Time in My Future

Postby Barnyard » Wed Mar 11, 2020 11:14 am

As many of you know, my daughter Melissa moves into our house whenever we go to a CubFest. She makes sure the dogs are cared for and keeps a good eye on the place. We would never leave our place without somebody being here.

Well just before Christmas she told us that her husbands 40th birthday was the same day as the Rocky Mountain CubFest and they would be out of town. Naturally we canceled our trip to RMCF this year so they could get away. This year we decided to go to the Louisiana CubFest to make up for any lost CubFest fun.

Now for the big news. It looks like we will now miss Portland Indiana in late August as well as RMCF and Cubarama in September because she will be unable to stay at our place. It seems she will be giving birth to our first grandchild sometime in that time frame. I hate to miss all the tractor fun, but it is for good reason.

Bill,
I know I will miss you at this year's Cubarama. You have been at every one I been to as far as I know, so it will be different this year without you being there. And congrats, btw, on your first grandchild. You and your wife will enjoy spoiling him or her.

Have you thought about remodeling the guest bedroom into a nursery? :D

Grandkids are the best! If we had known how much fun they are we would have had them first.

Can't think of a better reason to miss a CubFest, or two. Congratulations on your and Rosie's first grandchild (and your daughter's first child).

Congratulations on your first grandchild! It'll be worth missing a couple Cubfests to bring the young-in to them later on down the road

When you go to as many as we do, you never want to miss one. Although the Timing could have been better.

Congratulations on the forthcoming grandchild! Enjoy him/her all you can, time flies. Our grandson turns 30 this year. Seems like just yesterday we were sitting in the hospital waiting room awaiting the arrival.

Congratulations Bill! As the proud Grandpa of two Granddaughters and three Grandsons I understand your joy. I was lucky enough to spend a lot of time with my Grandparents who lived in walking distance when I was young, so when I'm told I spoil my Grandkids I just say I had good teachers!
