John's Knee Replacement Surgery

Postby T-Mo » Thu Mar 25, 2021 7:07 pm

John Puckett just called me and everything went well with the surgery. He said he won't be dancing a jig anytime soon, but he also said he hasn't danced in about 50 years anyways. He should come home late tomorrow. He thanks everyone for their prayers and thoughts.

Great to hear Mr. Puckett: Do what the doctors recommend and work real hard in physical therapy. I used a walker for about 2 weeks, then used a cane for about 6 weeks, after that, I did not use any support. Be careful and don't try to over do it......

Yes, that's very good news! John's a tough old bird, I'm sure he'll made a speedy recovery.

Yes too much is more harmful than too little, always heed the medical advice and everything will be fine.

Yup, got mine done 18 years ago, wished I had the other one done also. Good luck John (I don't dance or kneel down on the new knee! Learned that the hard way.)

Looks like all went well, though a little sore. Been using the torture machine as well as the inflatable compression socks, and the ice water pad on it. boy that last one gets cold after a while.

Welcome home. Bet you feel good about being there.

When my dad had knee replacement surgery, about 20 years ago, he spent close to a week in the hospital. Most of the time on a machine that flexed his knee.
I have an excuse. CRS.
