Stanton, Rosie and I are sorry to hear this nws. You certainly have our Prayers and support.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

Stanton,
So sorry to hear this news! I lost my father to pancreatic cancer in 1995. The good news: you found it very early on, and treatment has come such a long way. So many people are surviving it quite well now. I also know prayers can help, so you have mine that the doctors will be able to define a treatment plan that works and allows you to continue to enjoy your family and hobbies, Stay strong. state of mind is also an important part of beating this.

Stanton, so sorry to hear this. I can't imagine hearing those words and the feelings that come with them. It sounds like it has been found early and that is really good. I will continue to pray for you and your family during this time.

Re: I’m Yellow, but Not a Coward -Surgery Update
Here's an update on my situation.
Robyn (what a great caregiver she is!) and I drove down to the Saint Luke's Plaza location to meet with Dr. Cummings. He's a specialist surgeon that focuses on the area of the pancreas where my tumor is located. We had a very, very encouraging discussion and walked out of our meeting with confidence and hope, with also a sense of caring on his part (and everyone in his office).
We discussed whether chemo would be advantageous to start before surgery or wait until afterward. His advice for my specific case was surgery first, then follow up with chemo. We asked about a timeframe for the surgery, he said, "ASAP". He genuinely seemed confident in his own abilities and my situation to completely remove the tumor and do it sooner rather than later. He also said he wanted to perform this laparoscopically instead of an open surgery. I questioned him about which would give him the better viewpoint to see what was going on during surgery. He responded that he has done many of these via laparoscopy and that was his preferred method. To that, I said more than once, "I'll be out of it. YOU do what YOU'RE MOST comfortable with and that'll be good with me."
It looks like I'll be going under the knife in the next couple weeks, with (hopefully) a 4-5 day stay in the hospital. A full open incision would take 10-12 days in the hospital to recover.
Will give you all an exact date when we know it. Suffice it to say that Robyn and I felt your prayers going on before us and this has deepened our trust in the Lord. Pray Dr. Cummings will be used of the Lord to do what is required to remove this tumor.
Love and appreciate you all! Thank you for the encouraging words and prayers.

Laproscopic surgery has come a long way. I was involved in it, early on, when the doctors looked like 3 Blondes, trying to change a flat tire. Noe, they cn do it with one hand tied behind their backs. Recovery is so much faster, with a couple of inch long incisions. Couple of days of discomfort, from the ait pumped in, to give them room to work. Once tht is absorbed, you're about over the incision pain.
Hang in there, sounding good!

That's how they removed my gall bladder back in '17. I was glad to hear he preferred that route.
Thanks, Ed.

Sounds fantastic. Go on the offensive! I feel certain you can beat this, given it is as early as it is....praying for a miraculous outcome, we know the Lord can provide one.
