If I could I'd like to ask that you pray to help my wife and family while I have open heart surgery. Supposed to be tomorrow, waiting for the call giving me the time to be there. I know that even though they aren't letting on they are more nervous than I am. I'll be in the hands of God and my surgical team, but Debbie and the kids have to wait and wonder. Thank you all from the bottom of heart (the good side, as well as the leaky valve side!)

John, yes, your wife Debbie and the family will be on pins and needles waiting the outcome. We'll certainly pray the Lord guides the surgical team to perform everything as it should and that healing will be complete. May the Lord's comfort and strength be yours, Debbie's, and your family's at this time.
I had open heart surgery in 2014 to repair a mitral valve. My wife Robyn didn't like the waiting either. Harder on our spouses than on us, I think.

Thanks everyone! Just got the call I was waiting for, but they have rescheduled me for Nov. 5! She said it was due to emergencies, but I think the parts were back-ordered! I guess maybe I'm not in as bad of shape as they let on.

I want to say THANK YOU! to everyone. The surgery went way better and easier than I expected, and so far the recovery process. I had a great Surgeon and I couldn't have asked for nicer Nurses taking care of me. I know the prayers of my friends, even those I have never met had a huge bearing on my peace of mind during the process. Thanks again and prayer for everyone.
