But our ways are not God's ways and His plans take precedent over our wishes. I'm glad you have a great faith in Jesus Christ and I can only image the next adventure in store for you when He calls you home. You will continue to be in my prayers, my friend. Stanton,
Ricky is spot on with his comments.
So sorry to hear your health has taken this turn. There is so much in this life that we seek to enjoy and feel cheated when we are unable to do so. Your eternity is secure, press on, finish the race, your prize awaits you.

Stanton, I echo these statements.
May God's peace be with you and Robyn.

Stanton,

You and your family are in my prayers. I will pray for a miracle, for your comfort and peace, and for God's will to be done. You obviously have a deep and abiding faith to even be able to communicate such difficult news with such peace. Praise God for that faith! My father passed from this same disease, and had a similar strong faith that got him and us through a difficult time. May God continue to bless you and your family.

Thank you all for the prayers, thoughts, and well-wishes. The things that see me through this is my unwavering faith in Christ, my loving and caring wife, and a host of others (including you) that petition the throne of grace on my behalf.

Thank you! :hattip:

I will continue to pray for you and your family every morning in my prayers at Mass, as I have been doing since I learned of your illness on this forum. May you find grace and peace through Jesus Christ. Although I’ve never met you and we are thousands of miles apart I have always thought of you as a friend through our contacts on this forum. I am at Mass tomorrow morning as usual and I’m doing the readings, so my prayers are with you Mr Stanton.

Matthew 18:19, 20

19 "Also, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about something, then you pray for it. And the thing you ask for will be done for you by my Father in Heaven. 20 This is true because if two or three people come together in my name, I am there with them."

Stanton, I am so sorry to hear of your situation. Your resolve and fight against this illness has been remarkable. Some things as you know through your faith are out of our hands. You and your family are in my and my family’s thoughts and prayers. If this is to be, then our hope is for a comfortable journey.

Stanton,
I am deeply saddened by the news of your health reversal. You and your medical team put up a great fight. I know that you will continue to get comfort from your faith, family, and friends. I still look back with pleasure at the time we first met. You were fairly new to this site. It was at the 2010 IHCC auction in Gardner, Kansas. We had a pleasant day talking about Cubs and getting to know each other.

May you have strength as you go through this transition.

That was a pleasant day, and informative to me. You inspired me, Jim, to go on and write several articles for Red Power magazine. Thank you for your inspiration and knowledge!

Stanton, I was truly saddened by your resent news and at a loss for words. I have had the pleasure of meeting you at a few Cub Fests, I think the first was a DocFest. I, like many others, have been inspired by your "how to's", restore journeys, and overall contributions to the Forum. You have made a difference!

I pray for continued comfort in your faith for you and your family.

Stanton, sorry to hear of your relapse.Don't give up the fight and trust in the Lord.Jesus is still in control. He still does miracles and I was witness to two.My wife was sent home on hospice care in 2010 with terminal heart trouble. She did so well after 3 month they terminated hospice care and sent her back to her regular heart dr.Again in 2012 she went back on hospice care for 6 months and came off. Both times God revealed a new medication for heart failure. In 2015 she went to be with the Lord and the cause was kidney failure.God gave us another 5 years to fight it and pray. She was a Misouri girl from Valley park.God bless and praying for you,Tim
