NOCO Jump Starters - 6v Regulator!!!!

Postby gitractorman » Thu Mar 17, 2016 12:57 pm

At Christmas my dad got me one of these NOCO GB-40 Lithium Ion jump starters.

The thing is absolutely amazing and although small in size, it easily will jump start a big-block V8 engine. The GB-40 power pack is small enough that it would fit in the Cub tool box under the seat, so that alone tells you the size of it. It also has a built in flashlight (which I've used several times and got rid of the Mag Light I had in the truck glove box) and has ports for charging USB devices like phones, cameras, etc., which I've used out at the hunting camp.

I was so impressed with the product that I've been doing some more research and planning to buy a couple more of their products for around the shop and potentially an on-board charger for my boat batteries. Anyway, part of the cool thing about their products is how they all can interchange and work together with each other, using their "X Connect" feature. One of these features is a 6-volt regulator, so you can charge and jump start (I think) a 6-volt system from any of their other products. I have not had a chance to buy or test this, but it looked interesting and thought it could be of use to the Cub forum group. Below is their website, check it out!

Looks very interesting, Bill. Let us know how the 6V adaptation works out.
