We lost Darby, our golden retriever

Postby Bob McCarty » Thu Feb 03, 2022 5:51 pm

Yesterday she didn't come back from the barn with Sue. I found her lying in the snow by the fence. She wouldn't get up, so I carried her into the house. Ultrasound at the vet this AM showed a mass on her spleen that had ruptured and was bleeding into her abdomen. Unfortunately at 10 1/2 yo, we had no choice. As Will Rogers said: "If dogs don't go to heaven, I want to go where they go".
"We don't need to think more,
we need to think differently."

Bob, Rosanne and I are sorry to hear about Darby. We always enjoyed her company at your CubFests. I know how much you and Sue loved her. She will definitely be missed by all who knew her.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

It’s sad news. Nothing will replace a much-loved pet who’s part of the family. Robyn and my condolences to you and Sue at this time.
