Re: Custom Fertilizer Spreader
I carried the openers and these 2 rods over to get powdercoated last week, picked them up this morning.

Got the spreader back together. It's done, now I have to figure out what to do with it.

Re: Custom Fertilizer Spreader
I messed up. Haven't even used it yet and broke it, lol. I took it home and hooked it to the tractor last week. Had it all the way down and hooked the PTO shaft up. Cole and I were out the other day and I cranked the tractor and turned it on, it was quiet and spun like it should. Saturday I had a man coming to buy something and I needed the tractor. The spreader was still hooked up and all the way down, I reached over and lifted the lift and heard a POP. It was to late. Broke the gearbox. I assumed the PTO shaft was the correct length, my mistake and know I shouldn't assume. The PTO shaft is to long and as I raised the spreader the shaft got shorter until it bottomed out and broke the gearbox. Luckily we have a spool gun here at work and I welded the cast aluminum back together and put a couple braces on it. It's ugly but should work. Learned my lesson on PTO shafts Saturday, the hard way.

Got it back together after we got the kids in bed. Hopefully it will last me a while. Now to hook it back up and measure the PTO shaft
