Got a pretty one for the carb gurus:
Zenith Carb #!.jpg

Zenith Carb #2.jpg

The owner says it leaks and runs rich fouling the spark plugs. He also said that the previous owner may have drilled the jet(s) out a bit. It will be interesting to see what is up with the carb.

Sounds like a float and fuel jet issue. Have to be careful working on that one, not to scratch it!

The Cub engine that I am bringing to NE Fest appears to have stuck valves the head is off and valves and pistons are soaking in Kroil. I will try to bring every thing so hopefully we can start it on engine stand . Cecil is getting me new gaskets and I should have everything else to start it .

Never attended one of these before so I’m looking forward to it, but... not knowing the location, is there a place nearby to get lunch? I’ll be on a motorcycle and have to pack light, if I go that route, but if there’s a local place that’s be easier?

I see the breakfast thing at 0830 hours and I’m gonna try like heck to make that (I don’t know where I got “couple hours” travel time before it looks like 3-1/2 on the map now!) and I’ll have to hit the door running at 0500 hours. Who do I notify for that, saving me a spot for breakfast?

Fellows. I am so sorry, but due to circumstances beyond my control, I will not be able to attend this year. I am very sad because I was looking forward to meeting you all and I know that breakfast was ordered on my behalf because I said I would be there… Unfortunately, I work for a para-military organization who decided that today was the day that they were going to “order me in” whether I liked it or not. And they did it at a little after midnight, so I didn’t even have the time to have a little common decency to be able to give you a better heads up. I’m so sad. :-/ I was so very much looking forward to this... I should be most of the way through Massachusetts right now, on my way there. Such a drag...
