Cubarama is back on!!!

Postby cubbrian » Mon Apr 26, 2021 1:03 pm

Members of IH chapter 32 have spoken to Jamie and we have decided to keep cubarama going. It will be held at the Perry County fairgrounds in Pinckneyville, Illinois. The same grounds where the American Threshermans show is held. The show will be moved up 1 week. The dates will be September 17th and 18th. The 16th will be a setup day. There will be stationary and field demonstrations. This will continue to be an annual event and our tentative name for the show is "Midwest Cubarama and Cub Cadets". There will be no charge for exhibitors or vendors. However, we are thinking of ways to generate income so that the event will be break even financially. There will be a food stand setup on the grounds. More information will be provided once the details begin to be worked out.

About a 2 hour drive for me. If I can attend, I can only bring one tractor due to the distance. I had plans to bring both my '47 Cub and '44 B if the Fredricktown show were still on. But, at least the show will continue.

Congratulations to Illinois Chapter #32 for stepping up and supporting a 100% IH event! Moving it just that much east may encourage some to participate that wouldn't have otherwise.

Looks like Missouri Chapter #1 missed an opportunity to keep the show going.

Bad date for us. I hope it is a success.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

I won't be able to attend. One of our big Minnesota shows is that weekend.

Perhaps you could carry on the tradition of the trivia contest?

Sorry you will not be able to attend. I have been working on some new trivia questions with some direction from Ken Updike. I'll save them for another time:!:

I'm sure we could set something up. Not only are we taking on this show, we are hosting the Red Power Round Up in DuQuoin in July, so it's been a busy spring. I'll find out more at our next meeting in 2 weeks.
