Shallow Creek Cubfest

The Shallow Creek Cubfest is over for this year. It was one of the most refreshing Cubfest’s I’ve ever attended. The refreshing part is that everyone pitched in to help me out in my time of need. You see, I had some trouble with my trailer this year and everyone jumped on board to help me fix it. From running all over the country for parts and tires to advice and hands on help. Welding on the fenders and the tools for repairing everything. Just a reminder. (mostly to me) If you are contemplating a road trip with your trailer, look it over good. Tires, springs, shackles, bearings, wiring, lights, brakes, hitch, boards and general construction to prevent having a breakdown along the road in unfamiliar territory. (It’s no fun)
Back to the Cubfest, Rosie and the Gals did a fantastic job of preparing meals for us. A great assortment of items to please the tastebuds. Sitting around the fire is always a good time. (Story time) Great conversation and good hospitality. Thanks again to everyone! I appreciate the way everyone pitched in to help me out and give me some peace of mind for the trip home. The trailer made it home with no issues!

Frank, I'm glad it worked out for you. Those old axle parts didn't look very promising. Glad you could find everything you needed to get it fixed here.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

I’m just glad your trip home was uneventful! I agree that being stranded along a busy interstate, far from home is a dreadful experience. It teaches one to be more mindful of the equipment we put on the road.
