Thanks from Shallow Creek - 2017

Postby Barnyard » Mon Oct 23, 2017 10:32 am

Rosie and I want to thank all who showed up for the CubFest this weekend. We had a great time and got several projects done, mostly Cub related and a few that were off topic. We had plenty of food for two days (thanks Candy Clayton and Regina Dotson for your help), and a really good fire at night, not to mention the laughs and friendships we shared.

We got a non runner going that had been sitting since 1995. We had it running for a few minutes at Rocky Mounting CubFest but when we shut it off we never could get it going again. After about ten minutes at Shallow Creek we had it running like a top. All the gears and bearings in the trans and finals were quiet as could be. Not bad for a Cub that had sat for twenty two years.

We Hope to see everyone in December at Jeff Silvey's WinterFest

There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

Barnyard, that looks like a good time. I'm sorry I missed it. I'll have to plan for the next event so I can make it out.

Oh man, thanks for the catch guys! I came on here to confirm the date and thought I had missed it. I'll see what I can arrange for this weekend.

Thank you again for the offer and invite. I'm sorry I wasn't able to make it to the last get together. Between the soccer field and work, I wasn't able to clear the schedule. Hopefully next time I can plan for it ahead of time and we can make it out.
