This tractor was quite powerful with the Perkins diesel engine. Served well for years using 3-point pulling brush hogs and strange finishing decks. Heavy duty piece of tractor similar to an 8N but shorter. The lift hydraulics were tremendous and we had to get in there to repair some valves. It all worked. It wasn't a "show tractor" but good enough that somebody stole it and a Case 310.
Anyway the Dexta was a fine tractor. It was part England and part American .

Re: Fordson Dexta
No. It was a mess in dead cold winter. Stuff happened like severe loss and everything falling to pieces. Many tons of equipment had to find another home or storage, quickly. Some things stored by family and others by the local farmers. Stuff just disappeared over time.

Re: Fordson Dexta
Life has taken priority over most of my time but hope to try to make a move on the Dexta soon. Anyone want to weigh in on a 3 cyl Perkins that has not run/been turned over/sat for an unknown period of time (probably several years)? I've had a limited amount of contact with US made tractor diesels but none with the Fordson/Dexta Perkins engine. Thanks for any tips/suggestions anyone is willing to share. Stan
