I know several of the guys in that video. The guy with one arm wearing the IH hat owns about half of those Jeeps. He has another that has a tow truck set up on it. Hueston Woods is about 45 minutes from me.

I was told to go to a website to see what my Kelly locking hubs are worth. There rare and as soon as my splined flanges show up I’m removing the Kelly hubs making sure there still good and eBay them. I should make enough cash to buy a bigger borg n beck clutch kit for my Jeep tractor.

Did the state parks department know they were out there doing that or did they get a surprise later on?

Jim, I don't know the answer to that. None of the guys from our Jeep Club were there. Those guys were from a club in the next county. I didn't know about it until I just saw the video. I guess I should ask Rick (the guy with the IH hat) or Joe (the guy with the big cigar) when I see them at our Jeep Swap meet next month.

Man, those guys have the equipment! Looks like they had a lot of fun. I hope they had the blessing of ODNR! I almost looks like they have a designated playground area, where ODNR let's them play.

I blame farm jeeps for my fascination for duals on jeeps. I have been working on acquiring this since january, from my dodge puking to the polar vortex to you name it I have not got it done. This is not a farm jeep, it is an M38A1, 1952. First year for the M38A1 round fender jeep. the duals look to have been on this rig for some time. It does have rear facing PTO but nothing on the rear. I believe this to be a generator jeep. I have not seen it in person yet as it resides in central PA. There is some anecdotal evidence of generator jeeps having duals for the weight. The rear facing PTO with remnants of the shaft still there make me think it ran something midships. That would be correct for a mounted generator. lots of added leaves to the springs indicate it was beefed there for extra weight capacity. If I ever get it home I will determine the make of dual adapters, I have a set of reproduction Hickey dual adapters, new with all the studs, maybe I can run duals all around! LOL ( yes, they did run a few with duals on all 4 corners ). Gotta love watching a jeep with a 3 point plowing a field!

This is as far as I got with my Jeep tractor. I fabricated the front bumper. Boxed a ‘73 cj5 v8 frame with 3/8” plate steel. I fabricated a mini rock dump body. I’m going to drive the hydraulics from the rear pto. I has loc rite diff lockers f&r.

To add Duallies we need those half round tapered steel washers to place in the inboard wheel spacer so it holds the rim center from working on the bolts. Other wise there’s no tapered bolt to fit the taper in the wheel center, as some found out here without the taper washers the wheel comes loose.

this is my set, dont know whats on the m38A1, still working on an old truck to try n make the haul. dodge isnt gonna suck any more money from me.

this style is close to the "Hickey" style, he also made high compression heads for the L-head, ( flathead "go devil) The studs are right and left hand threads for the original jeep, the studs have the bevel to center the wheel, then the adapter simply slides over and the regular lug nuts are used

I will be seeing Rick next weekend at our Jeep swap meet and will tell him we want more videos like this.
