Anyone ever restored a 2MH and put it on an M? I have an M with a hand clutch and corn picker mounted on it, I’m gonna restore it this winter. I would love to see some pics of your setups.

I’ve seen a few of them re-done, just know, going in, that it’s a ton of work. It’s also very difficult, hauling them to shows and such. I love seeing these old pickers brought back to life, though.

Re: Farmall M and 2MH corn picker
There's a lady on FB that just restored a 2MH for her M, had it at the Half Century of Progress. My favorites are the nice originals that turn up from time to time. There's also a good IH corn picker group on FB.
They kind of remind me of an orchard tractor--a lot of sheet metal to potentially sand/straighten.
I have a 2MH sitting in the yard, and an M. Hope to put them together soon. I just started mounting this C-10 picker to my Farmall C this weekend.

Good luck with your project, I thought I had the manuals for the 2-MH but it is for a 2-ME, I had a 2-MH on a 450 diesel, loved the tractor and the picker. Just take your time, be careful and above all-- when you get it running KEEP YOUR BODY AWAY FROM MOVING PARTS! Keep us posted.

Yeah you have stuff running on either side of you--those two shields are very important!

There is something about seeing the result that makes the lesson sink in. My Great-Uncle may have had on complete finger, the missing parts were in the field or in the feed.

My neighbor has a fully restored one on an M and used it at our club show on labor day weekend at Pontiac.
