Anybody familiar with Snow Bird snow blowers. Friend of mine just got one it is a early 60's. There is a yahoo group for them it is a pretty neat looking machine reminds me a bit of a Gravely.

My uncle had one for many years its a good machine too. I'd say after running both the snowbird and the gravely the snowbird is second to the gravely in performance and thats giving the snowbird a thumbs up for sure. It takes a lot for a snowblower to impress me. The Bird is designed to throw snow too and it works great, the gravely can throw it a little farther and higher but the bird does throw it with no lac of power.
I'm technically misunderstood at times i guess its been this way my whole life so why should it change now.

i've worked on a couple of snowbirds and fixed them up to use. They are very well-built heavy duty machines that are easy to work on. They can handle pretty good amounts of snow and it seems like they just keep on going! 8)
