This past nor'easter brought our river up and the flooding deposited this wheel on the riverbank in my backyard. It appears to be a backhoe tire and rim from a Cat or John Deere. The rim is in very good condition, the tire has a lot of tread left on it and its holding air.
The tire is a Goodyear 19.5L X 24 and damn its heavy!
Had to use my A to get it up the bank and back to the barn. Couldn't let it float off in tomorrows storm.
Anyone know right off from looking at it what this is from?
I may either Craigs List it or use it for bartering fuel.
Mike.

You might want to find the owner. I'm sure that ain't a cheap tire and the owner is probably looking for it.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

Look upstream for a three wheeled tractor.

I have no doubt it’s expensive. I’m not sure how to go about finding it’s owner. I’d like too but it will be tough. Judging but the scum in the tire it’s been floating for awhile.
A lost and found add would likely get the same results as holding up a wad of cash in a crowd asking who dropped it.
I just finished going through backhoe classifieds to compare rims and I think I have a match.
New Holland looks to have the same bends, 8 lug pattern and dish.
I’m thinking this may have gotten away from someone rolling off into the river. It’s got to be better than 200lbs. I’ll keep an eye out up stream for a likely place it came from.
This rim looks about right ?
The park system has a maintenance yard up stream I’ll probably start there.
