Farmall Cub Planter decals

Postby Joe Schueler » Wed Mar 14, 2007 8:01 pm

I'm restoring a 1948 Cub and No. 172 Runner Planter. Decals for the tractor are no problem but I need to see a photo of the planter so I can have decals made as close to the original as possible. Can anyone help?

Closeups are hard to find. Perhaps Cub Hut has some.

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem.

Call Glenn at Little Red tractor at 402-986-1352. He reproduces them, has a small and large, and the ones for the cultiavtors. Couldn't pull up his website or I'd have posted the link. Brandon. :D

Thank you, Brian and Brandon. I'm sure I'll be able to do something with these suggestions for starters. Little Red Tractor website seems to be down. Will keep trying, or switch to the telephone.

By the way, Brandon, what's the model number of your blue planter? It's amazing how many planters IH made for these Cubs!

Joe
the ones I used are not original, A friend had them made and I used them on a few of my implements.
The ones cubguy 47 has on his Richmond hopper can be bought from Dwayne Hansford Rustic Red Acres in Edinburg In. 317/729/5415----

Mine's a 172 planter, it has the row markers. I don't particularly like them, but they make them a little more neat at a show. Do you have any seed plates? Now's a bad time to be buying them on ebay with spring coming up, I saw a pair of plain corn plates bring $150! I really like the looks of yours without the siderdresser. I think the sidedresser and all that is to much, I like the simple look. Here's a link to pictures of mine and if I can help you anyway anytime, email me. Thanks Brandon.
