Hi all. I'm looking at a Woods XT160 brush hog and have a couple questions. Does anyone have one? ...and what's your oppinion? I would like to know if it's considered a standard or medium duty cutter. I've done a lot of research but can't seem to find much on it, the Woods site only lists a parts schematic. It seems to be similar to the Woods Brush Bull series cutter but I'm not at all certain, but if it is then it would be considered a medium duty unit. The one I'm looking at appears in good shape for 20 something years old, seems to turn nice, no noise, no leaks, or excessive free play in the gear box and has been stored in a shed its whole life when not in use. Curious too as to what it may be worth.
Thanx - Ray

Re: Woods XT160
I can't help with the value but I will suggest checking the fluid in the gear box. If the seal has been messed up underneath and it's been ran without gear oil I'd walk away. If it has gear oil in it then you know the seal is good. After looking at pictures of them on the internet that is a light duty bush hog, it would have been the cheaper of any of the Woods back then.
