my poor shop
A neighbor has an about 3 year old blue heeler named Zip that spends a lot of time at my place when neighbor is gone. Lately a small rabbit has been hanging around my shop, and Zip regularly tries to catch it. Apparently the rabbit was hiding in my shop a couple days ago when I closed it, and since today was the first time I was down there since then it ran out of something to do. Unfortunately I had pan of oil I had drained out of my tiller and had left inside the door intending to drain another tiller into before pouring into my storage container, and the bunny apparently decided that would be a good place to play. I now have oily bunny tracks along with big blobs where it laid or sat down all over my 30 x 42 foot tractor shop.

Re: my poor shop
I can only wonder what Zip would have done, if he was trapped inside the shop for a couple of days.....

I trapped a squirrel in there for about 3 days once. it really shredded the solar wrap insulation right at the edge of the doors where it could see a crack of daylight.

Re: my poor shop
Small birds are my biggest pest problem. We open both doors to get a cross ventilation, breeze. Small birds will fly in, then hide in the shelving.
If we don't see the birds and chase them out, evidence of their presence is all over.

I have an excuse. CRS.

Re: my poor shop
Worst thing I encountered was when a neighbors Tom cat got locked in my garage for a few days during the hot days in August. When I found him he was barely able to crawl out. Thankfully he recovered but in those days locked inside he sprayed that potent pee that tomcats have all over the garage permeating everything inside. It was months before that smell was gone.
These days I keep a cat door in the barn to provide an exit should that happen again. Mice are dealt with a Ketch-all wind up trap.
Stink bugs are the most annoying invasion I have in there now.
