vent tube cleaning

was mowing with my cub and noticed that there was a mist coming from oil filler neck. This has been and is this time a plugged vent tube that runs from block to the top of the oil filter housing. I do not remember how I cleaned this out before. Any suggestions (braided choke cabl
e maybe)

Solvent, as inairam says, and then use a piece of stiff wire to get it opened up. Don't forget to clean out the fittings on both ends, also.

If you have some heavy string trimmer string, that works too.

i've used heat and air pressure, the blockage comes out quick.

I have used a "Ralph" method before with success. Heat the line with moderate heat (propane torch worked), it loosens the sludge. Run a wire thru it then flush with a solvent.

I got it cleaned out with some carb cleaner and a wire.
