My concern would be that the marine store chain if twisted would sit to high on the tire compared with a standard tractor twisted link chain . I will buy a longer length of chain to try it out and see how it looks ..

If your Cub has ag tires on it, are they 30* or 45* lugs? That will make a difference on where the chains ride.

We're getting some snow today. Forecasted 1"-3" today with an additional 4"-6" on Monday. We're supposedly in the bullseye here in Lone Jack.

Depending on who we trust the weather channel says I’m getting 5” to 8” tomorrow night. The local weather says 3” to 5”. Im thinking 12”. My ‘55 4x4 Jeep tractor is itching for a challenge. Had her over 25 years now best $400 I ever spent.

Remember the blizzard of ‘78 was flurries? We got many feet. Eight hours to clear the driveway. My dad said on the farm when a cat wets his paw and washes behind his ear that means wet weather is coming. Now I notice when the birds are going crazy at the bird feeder bad wet weather is coming. I made my own duo cross chains using heavy duty wrecker ice bar cross links. They work ok on my ag tires but I’m going to install my turf tires soon. I need my ag tires for another project. I purchased many bags of ice bar cross links.

We had 27 inches over a two day span a week ago or so. The first day 14 inches of heavy wet snow and my 50 Cub did all the work as all my other machines are being worked on. Thought I would have gotten everything ready by first snow but that didn't workout because of my health and the weather. But any way the Cub worked really hard to move the big piles of snow It took three days of working the snow to get every thing cleaned up the way we wanted. That was probably 9 or 10 hours altogether. Fortunately just before the storm we had made a piece that allowed the plow to lift nearly a foot off the ground and that really helped because it only lifted about 3 inches before the fix. It was copy of something one of the guys on this site came up with and it was simple and cheap to make. Should made the piece years ago. (Thank you who ever you it was that posted the fix to lift the plow.)

You beat us, but I wouldn't want to be the winner in this comparison.

We got 8" officially in Lone Jack; snowed the entire day yesterday. Supposed to get an additional 1" today. The '47 Cub did a great job. Cleared 6 driveways in about an 1-1/2 hours. Didn't get pictures of my driveway or the last neighbor's drive--my fingers were frozen by that time--but here are some of the others:

We don't have much snow here as most of yesterday's precip was freezing rain/mist and some sleet. Today it started freezing rain, then sleet, then snow, and now it's more sleet again.
