Best tarp I’ve ever owned
Several weeks ago I was at a roofing contractor friend/client of mine and spied several pieces of rubber roofing membrane leftover from one of their flat roofing jobs. I commented that that stuff looked like it would make a great tarp. He gave me the pieces and said they always had odd leftovers and only needed to save some for doing patches. I got a couple of pieces about 10x12 feet and some smaller pieces. 100 percent waterproof and heavy enough that they don’t need tying down. The small pieces cut easily and are great for lining a battery box bottom and lid. I know everyone doesn’t have a roofing contractor buddy that gives them stuff but I bet any roofing contractor would sell a leftover piece at a very reasonable price. I feel sure this stuff will outlast any tarp 10 to one. The ten by twelve pieces do a great job covering a cub. I’m going to add a few grommets and see if they will hold in the rubber even though it hasn’t blown off in a couple of pretty good winds

They would also make an excellent small flower garden pond.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

There is a "repurpose" company that sells used billboard vinyls. My neighbor has had good luck with those on a hay stack. Not as durable as what you have, but better and cheaper than most tarps.

I have used old rubber roofing cut in 2 Ft. by 12Ft. pieces for several years. very durable, and you can not beat the cost.

I got tired of buying a new tarp every couple years to cover a pop up camper . Got some rubber roofing at the local building supply and it outlasted the camper.

Had a school project back in 2006 with two 14'x14' skylights on the roof.
Roofing contractor just spanned the skylight curbs and when it was time to install the skylights, I got the cutouts!
Been using them since at least 2007. Firestone Roof Membrane. Heavy but durable.

I used to install rubber roofing back in the day
better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it...( YES this includes CUBS! )
