Need a Timing Light
Anybody have any recommendations for a decent timing light for use on a Cub. I'm looking for something to use on 6v and 12v.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

Re: Need a Timing Light
no 6 volt timing lights out there, use a separate 12 volt battery to power the timing light when working on a 6 volt system, I see good lights on auction sites all the time go cheap, they are a tool of the past no longer used on modern cars as they have no distributor and ignition is all controlled by the computer

I'm trying to avoid that if I can. I have seen some self powered lights out there.

Re: Need a Timing Light
I have a self powered timing light and it worked very well. Takes two D cell batteries and very bright light. Don't make the mistake I did by leaving batteries in during prolonged storage.

I am still using a timing light that I bought from J C Pennys in 1973. It doesn't have an inductive pickup but it works equally well with 6 or 12 volts.
At that time Pennys had an automotive center here.

Re: Need a Timing Light
I would suggest getting one with adjustable advance for use on engines that have a distributor, but originally had a magneto and only have one timing mark.
If you are not part of the solution,
you are part of the problem!!!
