TRIM ALL Edger
I'm looking for a parts list for this edger, made by K&S, Model KS122A, probably dates from the 60's. Powered by 2hp B&S engine, belt drive. I have to replace the blade shaft, it's approx 6 3/4 inches long overall and made from 1/2 inch stock turned down to 3/8 on each end. The only part I can find is 5 1/2 inches overall length. I've searched the internet but only found the shaft bushings. Thanks for any leads. Stan

Re: TRIM ALL Edger
This pic shows the difference in the OEM shaft and the available replacement--1.25 inches in the middle. (Dimensions taken from the old shaft.)

Re: TRIM ALL Edger
The "farmer fix" for the obsolete parts problem was to change the shaft size to a 1/2" bolt long enough to reach through the housing (I added about 5/8" of additional threads). I replaced the worn out bronze bearings with stock 3/4"x1/2" bearings, which fit perfectly. Also changed the OEM sheave with one the same OD size, 1/2" bore. A couple of jamb nuts and tapping the 3/8" hole blade to 1/2" NC thread to screw it on the new shaft completed the revised assembly, works good and cost about $12 for parts.
