Timing

Replaced mag after rebuild (thanks Rick!) - is there any other adjustment other than standard rotation of the mag to adjust timing? Should timing be TDC with timing mark? Was reinstalled at original? position of rotor @ # 1 terminal. Just sounds like it is running retarded? Thanks
