1. If you are restoring a tractor just rebuild it, even if you think it works.
2. The HF Valve puller with slide hammer kit is a real time saver over using pliers or what not.
3. It wasn't as hard as I thought it was going to be, actually it is kind of simple. Just need to make sure you keep track of what stuff looked like when it came out.
4. Along with O rings I went ahead and replaced the 4 plastic valves and springs A very nice gentleman who live in SC I was put on to who works on Farmalls told me to go ahead and do those since it wasn't holding the blade.
5. The block isn't hard to lift out and in but if you have help it would make it easier, I didn't.
6. Removing the battery and box makes life simpler especially when installing.
7. Take your time pull all the little screws out open up all the passages and take your time flushing it out and cleaning it.
8. Don't use the devils clue (aka Permatex) when installing the gasket. You or the next person may need to open it back up and that stuff is a PITA to remove. There is no need for it. I didn't use it but the gaskets were glued in with something.
9. The O ring on the inside of the pistons doesn't have to be replaced, but if you do put some lock tight on that nut so it doesn't come lose.
10. If you are adding a A60 blade to the tractor and its probably original plan on needing to rebuild the hydraulics. Mine held a mower deck fine but not the A60.
Only thing left I have not done is rebuild an engine. But we'll wait for that..........
